Single Vision Thin and Dark Glass Lenses are thinner than standard glass and can be surfaced to 1.5 millimeters. We use premium Corning Thin and Dark glass lens blanks for these lenses which are are clear indoors and darker than PhotoGray Extra glass lenses when outside in the sun.

Please note that these glasses can only be installed in full frames. Unfortunately they can not be placed into semi-rimless or drill-mount frames.

Single Vision High Index 1.80 Glass lenses are for the strongest prescriptions and are only available for eyeglasses with full frames, no drill mount or semi-rimless frames, please. We recommend 1.80 glass lenses for frames with small lenses to reduce the weight of your glasses, because we've found that overall eyeglass weight plays a big role in overall comfort.

In general, high index glass lenses perform better than high index plastic lenses and the 1.80 Index glass is the highest index lens material that we offer. And when you order High Index 1.80 Glass lenses from us, we automatically add a free anti-reflective coating for you, free of charge, because we love you and because high index glasses tend to have issues with glare if a coating is not added.

Our Single Vision High Index Glass 1.70 lenses are for very strong prescriptions and will only work with full frames, where the frame goes all the way around the lens. High index glass lenses have better optical performance than high index plastic lenses and the 1.70 Index glass is the second highest index lens material that we offer.

These lenses are a lot more reflective than regular lenses, and that's why we automatically add an anti-reflective coating for you to reduce glare. You're worth it.
